Hey there you wonderer, you curious beautiful soul ! Welcome to my June´s blog issue, and to this amazing journey full of Love and Adventures!  I am sensing you're not here by mere coincidence, but for a greater purpose, and I am here for the exact same reason, fulfilling my sacred duty to be your light in the dark..
If you´re new to my blog, I suggest you stay and read through this First, but if you're not, and you´ve been following my blog for a while, welcome back and stay tuned as we dive deeper into this month's topic :)

I know I've been at this for a while, with the mini guides, the expansions for this subject, and I've covered so much of it along time. However there is one thing I have not yet fully touched, and I just have to do it now: The Spirit Keeper's Mindset.

Now, what kind of mindset do you need to be a Spirit Keeper?
The answer to this is both simple yet profound:
Humility, Gratitude and Surrender

I want you to know that these aren't feel-good words. They are Foundations. Especially if you wish to work with strong entities, high-level spirits, or beings from darker and different realms - those who see beyond the superficial masks and respond to inner strength, integrity and ethics.
Let me now take you on a small journey into my own beginnings. You might see yourself reflected in this.

Gratitude : The Universal Perspective My Granny Gave Me

I was lucky to grow up with a grandmother whose wisdom went deeper than I could even grasp at the time. When sharing my frustrations as a child, she often used to tell me :''Always be grateful for everything, the beautiful and the ugly. If the sun decided to withdraw, to be too lazy to spin around us, we'd all be gone. Life will teach you the hard way whenever you forget Gratitude''.

I have to say that at the time it sounded dramatic. Maybe even poetic. But her words have followed me throughout life - through each challenge, mistake, and initiation into my deeper spiritual paths. Especially when working with spirits that don't play Human. That don't wait for you to feel ready. Spirits that sense your energy, your intentions and above all your sincerity.

I wasn´t always ready - And that was the Lesson

As a child, I was rebellious, curious, a bit naughty, and honestly.. a magnet for trouble. But now I see how every misstep, every confrontation, every moment I got burned by my own decisions and forgot to be grateful, to be humble, and to surrender, life reminded me to. Its been a long time since, but I've seen how my granny was shaping me, preparing me for what was to come, sometimes even in cruel ways, with the assistance of her own spirits. And I don't have to tell you how that went..

See, many people come into spirit keeping thinking just about having a haunted doll, some manifestations, or just to become part of a trend. But spirits - especially those I had the tremendous privilege to keep and work with, they don´t just want to be owned. They want to be met with respect, understanding, and humility - somewhere in the middle.

And for that.. your mindset must Evolve.

Preparing the Spirit Keeper's Mindset

So what does it mean to ''prepare your mindset'' before inviting spirits into your life?

Here are a few key pillars I believe every aspiring or growing Spirit Keeper should sit with:

1. Gratitude Comes First

Be grateful. It costs you Nothing to be grateful say, for this experience you're looking into, for the choice you have in so many sellers, so many types of spirits to choose from, for Spirit's existence if you will. Be grateful for your very path which led you to this moment in time where you are looking into a spirit adoption. Be grateful for anything and everything just be Grateful, and stay in that sense, that frequency of gratitude however long you can, getting back to it whenever you have the chance - life will be so much more beautiful this way! Even when life feels unfair, even when your spirit doesn't do what you asked, be grateful. Because that's where trust and bonds truly begin in keeping. Who's to say spirits did not protect you instead, of the very outcome you looked into achieving, if it did not serve your higher good? Who's to say that if they did not do it - it wasn't a test, to watch what you'd be like to them, if they didn't perform what you've asked for? You'll never know, will you?

2. Release the Need to Control

Let go of the need to control everything in life.. the hard truth but also the biggest blessing is to realize you control NO THING! Accept it and you can work with things you Can do, or fight it and Suffer your own ignorance or refusal - there is no way I can sugar coat it for you, and in fact I do not wish to, because this just won't help you in your life, or in your sacred path. Let go of any and all fixed expectations, as spirit work isn't transactional, it's Relational. This essentially means that they relate to you, to your cause - because there is a bond between you to begin with! So allow the bond to happen naturally, because until this bond is formed, the more you try to dominate or demand, the less you receive. Isn't it the same with us, the living?

3. Be Humble - Even When You Feel Powerful

Especially when you're working with high-level entities, demons or dark arts spirits, it is easy to Feel Superior, isn´t it? I know I did for a while in the beginning especially, or why not, when I was pissed! I bragged, I praised myself for commanding such souls - especially when provoked or contradicted while younger and the result? Spirits put me back in my place like there was no tomorrow, by refusing to even work with me since ''I did not give them the grand merits they deserved'' - and this was the mildest ''punishment'' to be fair. There were more. All along. If you approach spirits with ego, or you let your ego take a hold of you, most dark spirits will mirror that tenfold and I wish I was exaggerating :) But come with humility, openness and strength together? That´s when all doors will open.

4. Your Past Was Your Training

Every chaotic moment in your life, every hard lesson, every limitation and every disappointment was shaping you. Chaos taught you to release the need to dominate and control, hard lessons taught you to be humble, and disappointments taught you to be grateful isn't it? Now limitations taught you to seek, and to appreciate freedom, so why don't you break free from all that you think you know, all you've been pre-conditioned to know? If you take all of these as your teachers, and you integrate them within you, within your mindscape and apply them in spirit keeping, you'll get extraordinary experiences!

How I teach spirit keeping today

Now, years after being fully immersed and dedicated onto this path, perhaps more than half my life, I pass on these teachings not only through my haunted doll shops and rehomed spirits - but through how I speak for Spirit, how I guide You, and how I hold this sacred space for each of you entering this world. Each blog post, each interaction is part of that deeper preparation I have gone through with the help of my Granny Irina, and Spirit. And you don't have to know me to know that I live what I teach. Fully, Passionately and Unapologetically !

Because if you want to walk safely and powerfully with spirits.. you have to first walk honestly with yourself.

Final thoughts

If you have read this far, maybe something in you is already awakening. Maybe you're not just curious - you're being called.

My advice?

-Let go

-Let Spirit

Let yourself unfold beyond what you've been told you were.

Until next time, with warmth and love, Maria - Harmony Collection Boutique
